With the assistance of multiple members of the Con-X product line, these GPS
tracking devices are helping companies better track and monitor their fleets of
trucks, containers and trailers.
Installed on the exterior of the vehicle, these tracking devices use the GPS
constellation to calculate the exact coordinates of the asset. With the addition
of external sensors, the GPS tracking devices can also notify when the
trailer/container is empty or full, when cargo doors are opened and closed and
whether temperatures inside the trailer are at the right level for transporting
the food that we depend on. Since the information is sent via satellite,
location and sensor information is always received no matter where in the world
the asset is located.
The use of the Con-X product line on asset tracking devices is perfect because
of its rugged and water-resistant construction. In addition, custom cable
assemblies from Conxall can be designed to mate with the tracking units and meet
additional tracking and monitoring requirements of the application.
